Serina Yuan, President

I am a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with an MBA from USC.  It has been extremely rewarding growing with the children by serving as a volunteer at Tot Lot, AYSO, LEAP, Leal PTA, Tetzlaff PTSA, CHS PTSA, ABC USD Strategic Planning Committee, and ABC Education Foundation.  I have three children, one in college, one in 10th grade, and one in 8th grade.

My Goal is to establish our culture of partnering with school/staff for all students’ success and to lay the foundation for our sustainable success by enabling and supporting our leadership team for their projects and creativities.  I love all things beautiful and beauty can be discovered everywhere.  Cerritos High is a beautiful place with amazing students, staff, and families.  I look forward to contributing to the future of this great school as we celebrate our Golden 50th Anniversary.  Please reach out to me at [email protected].

Dawn VasquezDawn Vasquez, Executive VP

I am a 15-year resident of Cerritos with 26 years of work experience as a Compliance Manager.  Currently, I have two students at Cerritos High, Junior, and Freshmen.

Having volunteered at Tot Lot, AYSO, Frontier Baseball, Wittmann Elementary Foundation, and Girl Scouts, I hope to create an inclusive environment, educate more parents on how to get involved, and explore additional program opportunities for our students, while increasing fundraising efforts.

KantKant Guo, Chief Financial Officer

After serving the community as Treasurer of Cerritos High School PTSA for the past two years, I am excited to continue to volunteer in our new chapter – CHEF. As CHEF’s CFO, I will focus on maintaining a system to track funds and financial transactions, developing annual budgets with the rest of the board, and ensuring that bills are paid as authorized by the board.

Outside of my service to the community, I have a full-time job with a CPA firm, providing clients with CFO services. My passion for accounting and business management began when I was a boy. Driven by passion, I earned a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA with an Accounting concentration. The passion has also kept me in the profession for more than 20 years.  A Ping Pong lover, I live in Cerritos with my wife and two sons. I can also be reached at [email protected].

My goal is to support CHEF’s vision at Cerritos High School and lend a teacher’s perspective and experience to the discussions.

On a personal level, I enjoy long road trips, reading, spending time with family, video games, and movies. My pastimes include writing, aikido, laying hardwood flooring and tile, and playing cards. My latest hobby is mastering the barbecue, and my ambition is to build a playhouse for my grandchildren whenever my children get around to providing them for me.
