With the heat advisory in effect, staying safe is a top priority at Cerritos High School! 🔥
Here's how we're handling the heat:
-Encouraging all students to use our water bottle refill stations to stay hydrated.
-Keeping classrooms and the gym open during lunch for a cool place to eat.
-Monitoring temperatures and following CIF Heat Stress Requirements, including the use of the "Wet Globe Thermometer."
-6th-period athletic classes are moving indoors to classrooms when needed.
-Athletic contests are being rescheduled as needed, with a decision by 2 PM daily.
-After-school activity updates will be shared by coaches/athletic directors/administration.
