Data Confirmation - If you didn't already complete, your student may lose access on 9/30

Good morning,
 
I'm trying to make sure that all of our students have access to their student emails, Google classroom, and Study Sync for English classes, which are all tied to a signed Acceptable Use Policy form that is a parent permission slip to use the computers. 
 
I wanted to remind you that the parents need to fill out data confirmation in the Aeries Parent Portal (parentportal.abcusd.us) so that your student's email is ready to go. There are many important things in the data confirmation (emergency contact information, medical information) but there are also forms that need to be checked off to be able to use the computers, textbooks, and have a student email. Usually, the district gives the parents a month to fix this before they "freeze" the student email accounts with expiring forms (which is you/your student). The accounts will be frozen on 9/30 and students will lose access to their gmail and online accounts if the parent/guardian is unable to complete the data confirmation on the parent portal account before then.
 
You can fill out the data confirmation online or you can turn in the paper form into the office, and wait for the district to scan and input.
 
Your school email account is used for Google Classroom and for StudySync and not having access to it will most likely affect you negatively.

You can fill it out online in the Aeries parent portal (parentportal.abcusd.us) by confirming all of the data which account should be under this email address that I am emailing, you can print out the form that I will attach below and send it in with your student, or come in and fill out a form in the front office. If you need to reset your password for Aeries go to https://parentportal.abcusd.us/Aeries.Net/LostPassword.aspx and it should send you an email within a minute or two.

If you wait until after 9/29, you will have to wait overnight for it to be made active again. Once you fill out the form online (make sure to get all the way to the end) it will sync that night (as long as you fill it out by 4 pm) and the email account will be live in the morning. If you fill out a paper version it has to be scanned first. The default student email is firstname_lastname@myabcusd.org and the password is their birthday in this format YYYYMMDD. It will make them change their password upon logging in as a security feature.
