Meal delivery program for ABCUSD students

Due to the recent recommendations from Governor Newsom and State Superintendent of Instruction Tony Thurmond, the ABCUSD is making changes to the meal delivery service. Beginning on Monday, April 6, 2020, the ABC Unified School District Nutrition Services Department will refine our meal “grab-and-go” program to ten sites. Meals will be offered via curb-side pick up at the following location:
The following ten sites will serve meals:
- Furgeson Elementary School
- Hawaiian Elementary School
- Melbourne Elementary School
- Niemes Elementary School
- Haskell Middle School
- Artesia High School
- Cerritos High School
- Gahr High School
- Whitney High School
- District Office Central Kitchen (12255 Cuesta Drive, Cerritos)
Any child in the community 18 years old or under may pick up a meal at any of the ten locations serving meals. Meal pick-up time will be Monday and Wednesday from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. Meals will not be served on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Children will pick up a meal bag that has two breakfasts and two lunches on Monday, and three breakfasts and three lunches on Wednesday. The child must be present to pick up a meal bag, which is limited to one meal bag per child. All meals are free.
